What is Shutdown Confirmation on Xiaomi

“Shutdown Confirmation” is a new security feature that protects your phone from being powered off. When you try to switch off your smartphone, either intentionally or accidentally, you’ll need to enter your lock screen password to restart or power off your device.

This feature is very useful, especially if you lose your phone and someone tries to switch it off. With the new HyperOS update, it’s not possible to power off your device without entering the password. This feature adds an extra layer of security to your smartphone.

How to Enable Shutdown Confirmation

To use this feature, your device must be running on the latest HyperOS Stable or Beta updates. Here are the steps to enable it:

• Open the Settings app on your phone.
• Go to the Privacy & Security section.
• Tap on “Shutdown Confirmation” under device Security.
• Finally, toggle on “Shutdown Confirmation.”

Once you enable this feature, you’ll need to enter your lock screen password every time you want to power off your device.

And that’s it! Now, if you lose your device, the Shutdown Confirmation feature will prevent it from being powered off by whoever finds it.
